Join us January 14 – 18, 2022 for a four-and-one-half day workshop combing the southern Oregon beaches which boast some of the most dramatic scenery on the west coast. Ancient formations of towering rocks just past the tide line create interesting subjects at any time of the day. The winter storms at sea push the waves to shore resulting in dramatic scenes at Shore Acres State Park. Combined with full moon high tides and potential storms, the conditions will give us an amazing experience as the big waves crash against the rocks. Don’t worry – we are safe on the cliffs above the shoreline.

Join us February 14 – 19, 2022 for a five-and-one-half day workshop experiencing two locations east of the Sierra Nevada: Death Valley National Park and the Alabama Hills (the foothills of the Sierra Nevada). Death Valley is one of the most unusual and seemingly barren national parks in southern California. In a little over two hours from Las Vegas, NV, you arrive in Death Valley, known as the hottest, driest, and lowest elevation park in the United States. Approximately ninety minutes west from Stovepipe Wells, lies the Alabama Hills National Scenic Area which features small groupings of towering rock monoliths against the backdrop of the snow-capped Sierra Nevada range of mountains.

Join me for my favorite time of the year to photograph the Joshua Tree National Park landscape during the early morning waning moon. If you have never experienced night sky infrared photography in the desert with landscape lit by the moon (natural light painting), then you are in for a treat!
